The number of those people who awake each morning and wonder where their next meal will come from is larger than anyone wants to think about.
Luckily there are organizations like the Food Bank of the Rockies (FBR) that help to feed nearly 400,000 people, half of which are children. FBR provides food supplies for more than 1,100 hunger-relief programs and depends on donation events like the canned food drive next weekend at the Zombie Crawl.
The Organ Trail is a haunted urban adventure that will have your undead herd searching for clues and locations across downtown Denver. You’ll be forced to take a break from eating brains and using your own because the fastest zombie takes home cash.
The cost is $30 per person, $40 on the day of the event with a six-person max per team. It will start at 11 a.m. as Skyline Park, less than nine miles east on I-70 to I-25 South and Fox Street. First prize is $300, second place is $200 and third place is $100. The team with the most cans donated will be made honorary marshals of the Zombie Crawl and receive $100 gift certificates for their effort.
You’ll get a shirt with your registration to the Organ Trail, so hurry up before someone eats your brains and you can only crawl along the course.
